What's New in Collaborate 2.5

Background Incoming Calls: Never Miss a Call Again

Incoming calls are now received and displayed even when the app isn't in the foreground. Collaborate brings itself up automatically when a call comes in, so the person on the other end doesn't hear silence while the worker tries to navigate back to the app. For frontline workers switching between apps mid-task, this is the kind of thing that was always a bit annoying and is now just handled.

What's Improved

Redesigned In-Call Button Layout

The in-call controls have been reorganized. The layout is cleaner, the buttons are easier to reach by voice, and there's room for more without things getting cluttered. Small change, meaningful difference when you're deep in an inspection and need to mute fast.

End Call Confirmation Dialog

"End call" used to require saying it twice. Now a confirmation dialog appears on screen instead. One step, clear feedback, no accidental disconnects.

Countdown for Call on Unplug

When a device is configured to auto-call on unplug, a visual countdown now appears before the call goes out. Workers know exactly what's about to happen, which matters when you're still getting your bearings at the start of a shift.

Faster Voice Command Processing

In-call voice commands have been rewritten from the ground up for better responsiveness. If there was ever a small lag between saying a command and seeing it register, that's gone. Faster feedback keeps the conversation flowing and reduces the instinct to repeat yourself.

Wi-Fi Shortcut on the No Wi-Fi Screen

When Collaborate detects no connection, it now shows a button to open the Wi-Fi configuration app directly. Less navigating, faster fix.

Deeplink Stability

If Collaborate is already in the foreground and a deeplink triggers an unplug-to-call, the app no longer restarts. It just works.
