Go Beyond with the Intrinsically Safe HMT-1Z1 (with Video)

World’s First Ruggedized Hands-Free Wearable Computer, HMT-1Z1, Ships June 15 and is Available on RealWear.com to Connect Workers Everywhere

We unveiled the device to 6,000 attendees and over 300 media and analysts at AWE 2018.

We did this by first playing our launch video (below) at maximum volume as Cofounder and CEO, Andy Lowery, walked onto center stage at the conference.

Here’s the video, titled, “With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility”.  This means a great deal to us because using technology in the field is non-negotiable, but must be done correctly every step of the way.  That’s why we worked from the ground up on this product with teams around the world such as i.Safe MOBILE.

Without further ado…

When the video kicked into high gear, that’s when an unidentified fully hooded, fully “suited up” human being wearing a bright yellow Hazmat suit emergeded from the dark….

He then joined Andy on stage and allowed the video to play through.  When the video dramatically ended with the RealWear ‘chirp’ sound we all know so well (because it’s the call-and-response sound that plays after each user command), the mysterious individual who just so happened to be our Cofounder, President and Chief Product Officer Sanjay Jhawar removed his vapor-protection hood to reveal the new HMT-1Z1 wearable computer for intrinsically safe environments.

Here’s what we said after the video played:

Here’s a couple more unforgettable shots, all courtesy of our friends at AWE.
